LUCY MASON, who won the European Cadet Women’s title in Bucharest earlier this summer, has been selected to represent Great Britain at the World Field Archery Championships in Dublin from September 26 to October 2. This is another first for Lucy and the Deer Park Archers club in Shurdington.
It may be no coincidence that the club has recently developed its own field archery course.
Jon Nott (Archery GB) recently paid a visit to Deer Park Archers to shoot on the course while working with Lucy.
The GB World Field team will also include returning Olympians Naomi Folkard and Patrick Huston.
The Junior Inter-Counties Championships take place on September 3 with nine Deer Park juniors in the Gloucestershire team of 15 as they bid to retain the title.
On September 10 the club hosts the County Junior Championships.
