CIRENCESTER'S B team were beaten at Tewkesbury Park but could console themselves that in every individual match they were giving shots to the home team who took advantage.
Captain Jonathan Wells and his partner Keith Hodgson started well but both lost form in the middle part of the round and deservedly lost. All the other matches were closely fought.
David Michael & John Morris gained the only Cirencester win by 4&2, while Andrew Miles & Steve Springthorpe along with Neil Crowther & Stewart Osborn gained good halves.
Duncan Barnes performed exceptionally well in the final match but, despite playing the front nine holes in only one over par, was unable to prevent defeat as both of his opponents were receiving 14 shots.
