Wiltshire reached the quarter final of the Unicorns Knock Out Trophy when they beat Buckinghamshire at Chesham on Sunday by 21 runs.

They will now play Dorset at North Perrott for a place in the semi final on Sunday, June 12.

Wiltshire won the toss and made their usual fast start through Steve Bullen (19), Uzi Qureshi (52) and Ed Young (36).

They had reached 111 for 1 wicket in the 19th over when Ed Young was bowled.

The Buckinghamshire spinners then took control with the result that Wiltshire were all out for 192 in 48.2 overs.

Of the lower order Tahir Afridi scored 23. U Amjid took 4 for 26, Mike Payne 2 for 28 and Sherwin Gumbs 2 for 19.

In reply Bucks were unable to get the same fast as Tahir Afridi (1 for 24 off 9 overs) and Andy Carroll (1 for 16 off 6 overs) bowled steadily.

Then Wiltshire's spinners took over with Ed Young taking 3 for 35, Joe King 3 for 46 and Jake Lintott 2 for 21.

Buckinghamshire were all out in 45 overs for 171 with S Zaib opening the batting and being 9th out for an excellent 89 off 111 balls.

Wiltshire's next match sees the start of the 3 day Unicorns County Championship and is against Cheshire at Tattenhall on Sun/Mon/Tues June 5/6/7.
