CIRENCESTER ABC tasted success at the pre-quarter final stage of the Minor and Schoolboy Championships in Bodmin.
Western Counties champion Lewis Varey took on Southern Area champion Todd Carty, from Small Holdings ABC, in the 44-46kg weight category and won a points decision to reach the quarter finals in Ipswich.
Next up was 11-year-old Western Counties champion Sammy Varey against Danny Boardman from Mole Valley ABC in the 30-32kg category.
Boardman came into the ring with a record of eight wins out of nine compared to Varey's three bouts, but the Ciren youngster boxed well despite losing a points decision.
Fourteen-year-old Western Counties champion Johnny Varey received a bye as his opponent was pulled out, but took a bout against Mark Meadon, from Bodmin ABC, taking all three rounds and winning a unanimous points decision.
At Exmouth, Cirencester's Thomas Varey, 15, was against the highly-rated Dave Lewis, from Oakmead ABC and he too earned a unanimous points decision.
Cirencester coach Simon Knowles said: "What a great season it's been for all the boxers and coaches – we have now nine Western Counties champions.
"Johnny Varey and Thomas Varey have both won two years in a row and we have Lewis Varey, Raymond Jones, Jordan Wall, Sammy Varey, Jimmy McDonagh, Johnny McDonagh and Mikey McDonagh all winning their titles.''
Cirencester ABC has started a hectic weekend by having five boxers in action at a show hosted by Broad Plain ABC in Bristol.
First up to represent the club was 12-year-old Martin Jones who gained a unanimous points decision over Lewis Taylor from the host club.
Cirencester 11-year-old Sammy Harris then lost on a split decision to Tyler Mutch from Bulmershe ABC.
Making his ring debut for the club was 16-year-old Ethan Frayling and he gained a crowd pleasing win over Jay Clarke from Bulmershe ABC in a high tempo, all-action bout.
Danny Varey, aged 13, and 11-year-old Jason Frayling both had skill (no result) bouts and gave a good account of themselves.
