CIRENCESTER Golf Club's B team made a brilliant start to their match with Broadway but ultimately needed a birdie on the 18th hole from Russell Cameron to earn a drawn match.
B team captain Jonathan Wells and John Appleby (won 5&4) as well as Duncan Barnes and Clive Gray (won 6&5) were back in the clubhouse early after emphatic victories in the opening two matches.
Paul Simmonds and Kevin Young along with Cameron and his partner Chris Nevin both then halved their games.
But with Cirencester losing the last two matches, Cameron's birdie proved crucial.
