JIM NUNN, who gave more than 50 years’ service to Poulton FC, is to be remembered at a ceremony in the village next week.

Nunn held a number of positions at the club down the years notably secretary and groundsman, for which he won several FA awards.

He also never missed supplying the Standard with weekly match reports and photographs of his beloved Poulton.

On Monday, May 9 at 2.30pm a tulip tree will be planted at the Poulton playing fields adjacent to the Village Hall in his memory.
