BARNSLEY BEECHES CC are set to embark on the defence of their Cotswold & District Cricket Association Championship - the first division one title in the club’s 50-year history.
The club are again one of the beneficiaries of funds raised by the Barnsley Village Garden Festival which is celebrating its 28th anniversary on Saturday, May 14.
Founded by one of Britain's greatest gardeners, the late Rosemary Verey, the festival aims to open the village and gardens including Barnsley House and garden to the wider public.
This year Sir Roddy Llewellyn will act as the celebrity garden judge at the festival.
Garden passports which provide access to all "OPEN" gardens, (including Barnsley House Hotel and Barnsley Park), will be available at the entrance on the day.
The passport will cost £7 per person, (children 14 years old and under free). For a full festival timetable go to barnsleyvillage.co.uk.
