Brimscombe & Thrupp Res 3 Purton Reserves 3
PURTON rallied three times to share the points against Brimscombe & Thrupp on Saturday, but it was a game they should have won, writes Alan Eastwood.
An accidental handball gave the home side the lead on 15 minutes and that was the score at half-time.
A minute after the break Edd Herbert put Shane Hibbert in to equalise.
Brimscombe then added a second goal but Matthew Coote again levelled for Purton.
The home side made it 3-2 but Purton were not to denied and Craig Kent equalised from the spot kick just three minutes before the end of their third match in six days.

Purton Reserves 4 Cheltenham Saracens Res 3
PURTON took all three points against Cheltenham Saracens Res last Wednesday despite going behind after just five minutes, writes Alan Eastwood.
Purton keeper Dan Butler gifted the Saracens their goal when kicking the ball straight to an opposing striker.
Purton levelled after 13 minutes, Shane Hibbert crossing for Luke Coxhead to head in at the far post and Hibbert again provided the cross for Coxhead to head home a second on 36 minutes.
Five minutes into the second half Connor Dettmar put Hibbert through to make it 3-1. Purton chased more goals and got a fourth when Hibbert set up Dettmar to net.
The Saracens pulled two goals back and only a penalty save by Purton keeper Butler prevented the visitors from snatching a draw – which made up for his fifth-minute error.

Kidlington Reserves 4 Purton Reserves 2
A PURTON side missing several players went down 4-2 to second-placed Kidlington Res, writes Alan Eastwood.
In open play Purton were the better side but three goals from set pieces (all headers) and a defensive mistake right at the end gave Kidlington the spoils.
Kidlington went ahead after five minutes but Mike Lees set up Shane Hibbert to equalise for Purton a minute later.
Two goals on 21 and 23 minutes gave the home side a 3-1 lead at the break.
Lees set up Shane Hibbert again in the 70th minute to pull a goal back but the defensive mistake completed the scoring which was bad luck on Purton who also had to play the last 15 minutes with just 10 men due to players getting injured.
