SWINDON Wildcats ace Tomasz Malasinski has been called up to a 34-man training camp for the Polish national team.
The squad will form the basis for Poland's bid for Olympic qualification later this month and the country's World Championship challenge in April.
The Wildcats forward will feature in the camp but not take part in a friendly in Katowice on Saturday (February 6).
Instead, Malasinski will return to Swindon to take part in the club's vital home game against the Guildford Flames on the same date.
But he will miss Cats matches on February 12 (Basingstoke), February 13 (Milton Keynes) and the home game against Basingstoke (February 14).
"We are all delighted for Tomasz that he has been selected to play for Poland and we wish him luck in the upcoming games," Aaron Nell told swindonwildcats.com.
"It's great for the club that we have players of Tomasz's calibre that represent their country at the Olympic and World Championship level."
