BASSETT'S U18 A side travelled to Bournemouth and secured a win, running in nine tries without reply.

Victory helped Bassett maintain their position at the top of the Dorset & Wilts Merit Table Premiership.

Tries were scored by Dan Sweeney, Harry Russ, William Fieldsend, Tom Davies, Jake O'Neill, Elye Darragh (two), Sam Inkpen and Sam Haskell, with conversions from Sweeney (four), Fieldsend and Haskell.

Next up is the first versus second top-of-the-table clash against Sherborne at home on Sunday at 2pm.

THE Royal Wootton Bassett Colts' B side continued to show the strength in depth within the section as they too secured a bonus-point victory over a determined Supermarine side Victory maintained their position at the top of Dorset & Wilts North East Merit Table.

Bassett set the tone with three early tries through hooker Jack Yemm (two) and Olly Benfield to lead 15-0 at half-time Second-half replacements were introduced as the whole squad were utilised and it was Louis Cowling who scored the fourth try before new outside half Dan Hale secured the bonus point with a devastating jinking run to cross the line.

Supermarine went close to a deserved score, however a penalty attempt drifted wide before centre Benfield wrapped up the win with the home side's sixth try during the last minute of the game.
