Cirencester III 0 Minchinhampton Rams 24

THE local friendly between Cirencester III and Minch Rams was played with great spirit and attitude.

The Rams touched down in the first passage of play from Ollie Cooper’s 20-yard rampage down the right wing.

The visitors played some excellent rugby with offloads and continuous support play in the loose and back line.

With Beaumont making a couple of sterling breaks and the Rams’ back-line interweaving powerfully, Tom Goulding scored a brace.

New boys Roseblade and Gabriel showed tremendous intuition with some quality catches and runs through the opposition while Clint Davis again had a superb game, rewarded with another try coming off the back of a driving maul.

With John Wood and Richmond breaking the gain line and Minch watertight in defence, Cirencester found it hard to make much headway into the opposition territory.

Despite Cirencester’s huge and experienced pack, the Rams more than held their own in a very enjoyable game.
