Cricklade 10km, roads.

The recent road race battle continues between the Cirencester runners with Adrian Williams (33.51) pulling out a half minute lead over Bill Leggate (34.22) to win the race and to set another Club age-group record.

Bill was second overall and Denis Galerin (35.29), who is always in the mix, was fourth after a race-long battle.

David Wright (41.21) made a welcome return from injury and was 20th and third MV50.

Fi Collings (44.54) came in 34th and was fourth lady overall and first FV50 and Gordon Jones (46.59) who is sixty-five was second MV60.

Dan Finchett (44.37), Roy Joslin (49.51) and Barbara Thomas (53.40) also finished and 224 runners participating.

Cricklade Half Marathon, 13.1 miles, roads.

Despite a foggy start the sun shone on Joe Barrowclough (1:25.49) who had a good run to come home as the first Ciren runner and 13th overall, with a “bit left in the tank.”

Howard Ewan (1:27.48) starting slowly ran a negative split and was 22nd while his training buddy, Neil Corbiere ((1:32.07) ran well but was a little disappointed with his 35th.

Other finishers were Martin Croucher (1:35.21) who ran seven miles before the race, Constant Fischer (1:37.14), Rupert Chesmore (1:46.38) and Liza Darroch (1:57.47) who ran to another age-group victory and was a strong first FV60 in 183rd place.

Stuart Henderson of Team Bath won in a time of 1:18.49 and 281 finished.

In the junior race there were again some excellent results for the strong junior Ciren team with a win in the U16s for 12-year-old Luke Buck and third for William Morris; Oliver Middleton was fourth while Sophie Izon came fifth and was the first female.

Cardiff Half Marathon, 13.1 miles, roads.

David Moss took on 15982 other runners and finished 2441st in a time of 1:44.51.

The winner, from Uganda, was Ben Siwa finishing in 1:02.06.

Parkruns, 5km tails.

Lydiard Park, Swindon.

Liza Carpenter (25.35) was 133rd as she continues to chase her PB and was third FV40/44 whilst Barbara Thomas (26.00) was 145th and second FV55/60.

David Moss accompanied friends, finishing 345th in 34.48 before his Cardiff half the next day. Alan Eyles won in 17.57 and 385 finished.

Didcot.

13-year-old Oliver Middleton, after competing well in the juniors race in Cirencester park last Sunday, ran a 21.47 to finish 18th out of 90.

Peter Stockdale won in 17.41.
