THERE was local success at the annual Gloucestershire Young Cricketers' presentation evening, where the players from the county’s Royal London One-Day Cup-winning team were on hand to present the trophies.

Cirencester’s Eve Adler was presented with U17 Girls Performance of the Year award by Hamish Marshall for her score of 61 and 3-45 against Cornwall.

Eve was also applauded for her selection to the England Women’s Development Programme.

There was also local success in the U12 Boys category with Zach Campbell (Lechlade CC) and Max Shepherd (Bourton Vale ) – winning Performance of the Year and Player of the Year respectively.

Zach scored 104 not out and took 4-14 in the county's first win of the season against Devon.

Max was awarded Player of the Year for taking 14 wickets at an average of 7.93, an economy of just 2.18 and best figures of 4-14.

Around 300 players and guests joined Gloucestershire’s first team squad at the Bristol County Ground to celebrate the successful season for the county’s age group squads.

Tim Hancock, Gloucestershire Cricket Board head of performance, said: “It is fantastic to be able to reflect on another terrific year for our county squads.
