STRATTON YOUTH ROUND-UP

Painswick U16s 6 Stratton Youth U16s 0

STRATTON suffered a heavy defeat at Painswick in the County Cup. The home side took a while to get into their stride but broke the deadlock after 20 minutes following a cross from the right.

Stratton goalkeeper Meichal Wright was forced into action a number of times and Stratton were grateful to reach half-time having only conceded four goals.

Stratton began the second half with the desire to make it a more even contest but they were unable to create any clear-cut chances.

With ten minutes remaining Stratton committed more players forward but this gave Painswick more space in attack and they scored two further goals to make the final score 6-0.

Stratton U15s also made a quick exit from the County Cup when they found FC Barometrics on top form. However, new friends were made having journeyed to Bishops Cleeve.

For the U7s Finlay Stratford kept up with his older brother's scoring prowess by bagging another two goals.
