CIRENCESTER Netball Club made a promising start in the first round of the Gloucester U12 and U13 Junior League on Sunday.
More than 20 teams from across the county were in competition at Bentham Country Club, who also sponsor the league.
For the first time, Cirencester fielded three teams in the U13 category. Their Phoenix team were unbeaten, winning all three of their matches.
Coach Sarah Evans was pleased with the overall performance, saying: "This was just the start that the girls needed to give them confidence for the season ahead."
The U12 competition saw Chelts Arrows and Randwick both make successful starts by winning all of their matches.
The Gloucestershire Junior League is run for U12, U13, U14 and U16 age groups from October to March. The next U12 and U13 fixtures will be played on Sunday, November 15 at Bentham.
