AN impressive second half performance saw Bassett stun Wimborne.

Wimborne stormed into the lead with a converted try after seven minutes, however shortly after captain Jake O'Neill crossed to make it 7-5.

Wimborne replied with an unconverted try and extended their lead to 15-5 after scoring a penalty before Harry Russ fed Elye Darragh to reduce the deficit to 15-10 after 28 minutes.

With 20 minutes to go Bassett brought the scores level with a superb team try finished by Harry Longmore (15-15).

Darragh was the Bassett hero, returning to play after injury and finding the energy to finish off the winning try from 20 yards to defeat their much vaunted hosts.

BASSETT'S determined Colts B side followed up their emphatic 39-14 victory of Minety making it two from two with their second bonus point of the season.

Bassett were looking to reverse a defeat in the cup last season having lost 12-20 and did so in style with a six-try blitz.

Swindon's admirable number eight Ollie Walsh sent the hosts into a 3-0 lead before Josh Bowden broke from halfway to score Bassett's first converted try ahead of captain William Fieldsend's well struck penalty which extended the lead to 3-10.

After going close twice Bassett were not to be denied and were awarded a penalty try to extend the lead to 3-15.

Second row Jake Hughes Miles scored the third with a superb individual break (3-22) before rampaging Luke Stoneham added a fourth (3-27).

Quick thinking from full back Ryan Mountford and vision from scrum half Rhys Cliff saw Seb Talbot cross for the fifth try (3-34).

Swindon scored a deserved consolation try before Bassett second row Ben Humphries put through a deft kick and crossed for the away side's sixth and final try (10-39). Fieldsend converted two tries
