Cirencester Park 10k

TWENTY FIVE RSE members competed in the Cirencester Park 10k on Sunday.

A beautiful sunny morning bought 381 runners and their supporters to the beautiful surroundings of The Park, but the course was a tough one with the unforgiving 'Big Bertha' climb having to be done twice.

First home for the club was Matt Lambourne who finished in 40.08, followed by Mark Garrett 41.07, Timothy Hodgetts 41.42, Rebecca Ferry 44.23, Andrew Maddison 45.34, Graham Aitchison 47.24, Sharon Smith 47.35 (first LV65), John Buck 47.38, Martin Pitts 48.08, Dave Whitlow 48.09, Elaine Chapman 48.23, Jon Collins 49.55, Brian Pitt 50.43, Laurie Davis 51.06, Steve Sandercock 52.44 (PB), Kirsty Pitts 53.34, Sophie Dennett 54.32, Nick Grinham 54.33, Jenny Hoffman 59.21, Sally Jamieson 1:01.43, Caroline Sandercock 1:05.46, Amanda Rowan 1:19.05, Andrea Wood 1:21.10, Becky Heal 1:25.14 and Elspeth Murano 1:31.58.

One of our newest members Nick Grinham also completed his 100th 10k this year – an amazing achievement.

Berlin Marathon

MARK MANLEY competed in the Berlin Marathon, one of the largest and most popular road races in the world. He completed the city course in 3:37.37.

Forest of Dean Half-Marathon

IVOR PROBERT and Kate Potter ran in the Forest of Dean Half-Marathon on Sunday. The course followed undulating forest trails, taking in some interesting hill challenges. Ivor finished in 1:57.45 and Kate in 2:34.19.

Parkinson's Spooky Sprint 10k

PETE WHITMORE ran in the Parkinson's Spooky Sprint 10k at Waddeson Manor, Aylesbury on Saturday. A spooky run in the dark with only a head torch to light your way. Pete completed the course in 1:12.30.

Parkruns

SALLY JAMIESON ran in last week's Swindon 5k Parkrun in a time of 26.03, while Amanda Rowan ran in the Cheltenham Parkrun in a time of 37.50.
