Malmesbury Vics 10

Pewsey Vale Res 0

THE Vics player manager Alan Griffin made it eleven goals in three games, with a five-goal salvo against a very young Pewsey side.

The home side took the lead in the sixth minute through a superb Josh Hughes header from the edge of the box.

Griffin got his first goal six minutes later, with an impressive 25 yarder.

His second came from the penalty spot after 38 minutes.

In the 43rd minute, he completed his hat trick, and bagged a fourthbefore half-time.

The Pewsey side started the second-half in a far better fashion, and although never threatening the home side's goal, defended well in numbers.

The league leaders were held until the 62nd minute, when Jenner cracked home a 20 yard free kick.

Griffin continued his run with a neat header on 67 minutes following a cross from Jordan Thompson.

Thompson then created two more in three minutes; the first with a cross to the near post for Griffins fifth, and then a cross for Chris Salt to head home.

Griffin then selflessly let the ball run to Kev Bridgeman to fire into an empty net.

And in the final minute, Jenner wrapped up the scoringfor the Vics with a delightful chip to seal an emphatic win.
