CHARLIE GRABE, from Chiseldon near Swindon, and Rhys Manning, from Dursley, Gloucestershire, along with four other amateur golfers, have claimed places in the Audi quattro Cup UK Final golf tournament that will be staged in September.
Grabe and playing partner Manning won a regional final at the Celtic Manor resort in Wales with a score of 42 stableford points.
Twenty pairs of amateur golfers contested the 18-hole competition having earned a regional final place by means of a top placing in one of almost 50 qualifying tournaments staged since April.
Grabe & Manning, along with the other top two pairs from this event plus six other regional finals, will contest the Audi quattro Cup UK Final at Bowood Golf & Country Club near Calne, Wiltshire on September 3.
Ultimately two pairs will represent Great Britain in the Audi quattro Cup World Final staged at the Ocean Course at Cabo del Sol Golf Club, Los Cabos, Mexico (Nov 29 - Dec 3).
The Audi quattro Cup, being run for the 25th year, is the world’s largest amateur golf competition with almost 100,000 players from over 50 countries competing.
