GLOUCESTERSHIRE-BASED pair Charlotte Dujardin and Carl Hester, two of the three members of the Team GB gold medal-winning dressage team from the London Olympics in 2012, again form the basis of the British team selected for the upcoming FEI European Championships in Aachen, Germany from August 12-16.

Dujardin, the undisputed world number one, will again ride Valegro, while Hester has a new horse, Nip Tuck, who has replaced Uthopia.

There is no place in the team for Oaksey-based Laura Tomlinson, who recently took a year out of the sport to have a baby. Her young horses have yet to reach the championship level of her London mount Mistral Hojris who has now retired.

Joining Dujardin and Hester on the team are Fiona Bigwood (39) from Horsham, West Sussex who rides Orthilia and Michael Eilberg (28) from Redditch, Worcestershire aboard Marakov The reserves are Spencer Wilton (42) from Thatcham, Berkshire on Super Nova II and Anna Ross (42) from Salisbury, Wiltshire riding Die Callas.
