SKITTLES teams based at the Bibury FC alley have begun their bid to get to the grand finals of the Butcombe British Skittles Championships in September.

The Cotswold Cavaliers are top of their group after an unbeaten start to the championship with three wins from as many matches.

They are already through to the knockout rounds with one game still to play.

The knockout rounds could be very challenging with possible rivals being former British champions NIBS from Bristol and The Young Ones from Worcester.

There is also the prospect of a major local derby between the Cotswold Cavaliers and the Drillman's Arms from Cirencester.
