CIRENCESTER TOWN will take on two major West Country sides who have recently flip-flopped in and out of the Football League as part of their preparation for the next Evo-Stik Southern League Premier campaign.

Cheltenham Town, relegated to the Conference from League Two, will visit the Corinium Stadium on Saturday, July l1 (3pm kick-off).

The Cheltenham side could include striker Bobbie Dale, one of the few Robins professionals retained by new Town boss Gary Johnson.

Dale made two loan appearances for Cirencester last season (one from the bench), scoring in the 4-1 away win at Truro City.

Bristol Rovers, who bounced straight back to League Two after beating Grimsby Town on penalties in the Conference National final at Wembley, come to Cirencester the following Tuesday night (July 14).

A mixture of First XI and Development side players will travel to both Longlevens and Tuffley Rovers for pre-season friendlies on the same afternoon, Saturday, July 25.

Longlevens, guided by Cirencester Arena manager James French, and Tuffley Rovers, who are under the care of former Cirencester first-team coach Warren Evans, were both promoted to the Uhlsport Hellenic Premier last season.

Longlevens pipped Tuffley to the title in Hellenic Div One West, in which Cirencester Town's Development side finished fourth.

Shane Bumphrey, the Development team's leading scorer with 25 league and cup goals last season, has joined Bishop's Cleeve of the Southern League Div One South & West.

The Cirencester Town first XI will face six new clubs in the Southern Premier 2015/16 season. The are: Bedworth United (promoted as play-off winners of Div One Central); Kettering Town (promoted as champions of Div One Central); King's Lynn Town (transferred from Northern Premier League Premier Div); Leamington (relegated from Conference North); Merthyr Town (promoted as champions of Div One South & West) and Stratford Town (promoted as play-off winners of Div One South & West).

The Southern Premier Division has lost champions Corby Town and play-off winners Truro as well as the relegated trio Banbury, Arlesey and Burnham along with the now-defunct Hereford United.
