THE Cirencester Polo Club season is gathering pace and last weekend there were a number of finals.
The day started off with the Cirencester Polo Academy taking The B Team Cup against Syreford, with a very impressive game from David Tollemache in his first tournament.
Appitized won the Jamlar Durbar Plate against La Rosada, despite being without Nina Clarkin, who was recovering from a fall earlier in the tournament while Tamara Fox took a painful knock to her ankle during the final.
The Cirencester 0-40 Final proved exciting as ever with Poulton/Balvanera fighting hard but Beaufort Black Hound coming out on top by 5-3.
Mark Tomlinson led the way in the goalscoring charts.
Before the Tyro Cup Final, Tabba Woodd's new polo clothing brand Zonkey Polo played a unique launch chukka which saw polo ponies painted as zebras and ridden by players in monkey onesies!
In the Tyro Cup itself, Strategic Shipping won narrowly from Los Chinos 5-4.
Major forthcoming attractions include the Jerudong Park Trophy on Sunday, May 24.
