LEE ASHBY is joining Purton FC as reserve team manager of the newly-formed second-tier side which will play in the Uhlsport Hellenic League (Div Two) in the 2015/6 season.
Ashby, a former Beversbook FC manager who has also guided teams in the Wiltshire and Sunday leagues, will be elected to the Purton board at the club's AGM on Saturday, June 13.
He will also take over from club stalwart Alan Eastwood as Honorary Secretary for the club.
Eastwood, who has held the post for 26 years, will continue as the club's president and chairman as well as press and programmes officer.
Lee will introduce new players to the Red House set-up and is keen to resurrect the club's own website.
The Purton FC annual presentation night takes place at the Red House on Saturday, May 9 at 7.30pm.
