STRATTON U18s twice went behind in the first half before coming back with goals from Max Lukaweckyj and Alex Binnie to get to the interval on level terms. Stratton came out for the second half in a much more determined mood and quickly went ahead as Lukawecyj added his second.

Stratton man-of-the-match Callum Fallows then expertly finished an excellent move to score Stratton’s fourth.

The visitors were now in complete control as Chris White’s looping drive found the far corner for the fifth goal and Gregor Pilkington finished the scoring for Stratton with an excellent shot into the top corner. Leading 6-2. with 15 minutes left Stratton made several changes which allowed Bassett to add two late goals but the game was already won.

Wanborough U15s 3 Stratton Youth U15s 1

STRATTON squandered early chances at Wanborough and were made to pay as they suffered a 3-1 defeat.

Jack Sheridan’s passing was the highlight in the early stages but Stratton failed to convert the chances he created.

Wanborough came in to the game with quick counter attacks that Stratton could not deal with and took a three-goal lead early in the second half.

Casey Fallows revived Stratton’s hopes as he scored with a curling shot from the edge of the box with 20 minutes remaining but it turned out to be a consolation as they failed to break through again.

South Cerney U12s 3 Stratton Youth U12s 1

STRATTON made the short trip to league champions South Cerney and put in a good display despite losing the game.

Charlie Love came close with a shot hitting the crossbar. Goalkeeper George Tanner was again at his best to keep the score down to three.

Stratton’s goal came late in the second half from Stephen Milton-McConnell. However, the Stratton players can be very proud of themselves. The fourth place finish achieved this season, is the best this group have gained since starting as U7s. MoM: Fred Hall.

STRATTON YOUTH mini section had three games, The U7s were home to Highworth. The two U9s teams were home to Wanborough and away respectively to Swindon Rangers where Jayden Stratford, Ollie Potter and Charlie Miller were all on target.
