Beaconsfield 27 Stow 0

STOW’S good season ended on low with a heavy defeat at Beaconsfield.

Poor availability led to a makeshift Stow side which was always going to make things difficult.

Playing into the wind in the first half they did at least manage to limit Beaconsfield to just two penalties and had the opportunity to score a couple of tries themselves, but poor decision making and lost possession resulted in no points.

With the wind at their backs in the second half, Stow were looking to get back in the game but a loose ball was picked up by the home side for a converted try. Stow continued to push but could not break through the well-organised home defence.

Beaconsfield ran in another two converted tries to secure the win and leave Stow disappointed with the day's work.

Other results went in Stow's favour and they were able to retain fourth place – an improvement on sixth last season and a very satisfactory effort although they will hope to do even better next season.
