THE Stratton U15s produced a good all-round display to win 4-0 at Fairford, with Michael Cook scoring all four goals to take his tally for the season to 44 from 15 games.

Cook gave Stratton a half-time lead when he pounced on a goalkeeping error to score after good pressure from Tom Caine and Jack Sheridan.

In the second half, James Thomas and Joe Speak’s pinpoint crosses were converted with powerful headers and James Moyles' neat through ball set up a close-range finish for the fourth goal.

STRATTON Youth, with only 10 players, took the lead on 15 minutes through a Jamie Witt close-range effort. He doubled the lead on 26 minutes with a fine header.

Stratton Juniors had chances themselves and pulled a goal back on 30 minutes to end the first half 2-1 down.

The second half saw Stratton Youth go 3-1 up with an immediate goal on 36 minutes from Ayden Clarke who burst through the defensive line, rounded the keeper and scored from a tight angle.

On 55 minutes, Matthew James scored Stratton Youth's fourth goal after a strong run down the right and fine shot into the net.

Stratton Juniors were not to be outdone at 4-1 down. The final 15 minutes saw continued pressure on 10-man Stratton Youth who conceded in the 58th, 60th and 62nd minutes which levelled the scores at 4-4.

Marlborough U12s 0 Stratton Youth U12s 0

DEFENCES and goalkeepers dominated in this tight mid-table clash.

Stratton had more of the play in the first half and were unlucky when Charlie Love scored after the Marlborough keeper failed to hold on to Barney Kimber shot only for the goal to be ruled out for off-side.

The second half was much the same with both teams failing to score despite creating chances.

STRATTON U9s enjoyed a very exciting game at home to Wanborough. Although their strikers are usually in among the goals, on this occasion they drew a blank.

STRATTON U9s Blue continued their development with a home game versus Cirencester.
