Oaksey Reserves 2 CHQ Utd Res 3
A HARD-FOUGHT contest which matched Oaksey's slick passing game against CHQ's big target men who were able to deploy subtle headers to put their main strikers in.
This tactic brought CHQ two goals in the first half. Oaksey rallied with a goal to narrow the gap to 1-2 at half-time.
The second half was evenly contested but as CHQ tired Oaksey took control and scored a deserved equaliser.
Both teams resorted to defensive tactics to hold on to a point, but Oaksey were undone by a quick break from CHQ, which resulted in what turned out to be the winning goal.
Sean Miles and Thomas Topping were the home side’s scorers.
