MAJOR improvements are underway at Hellenic Premier division club Fairford Town FC following a grant from the Gloucestershire County Council.
Money from the Active Together Fund will pay for a new kitchen in the clubhouse, new showers and tiling in both dressing rooms, together with the replacement of all windows and doors in the changing rooms.
"It is nice to receive such support from the county council fund and once these works have been completed, it should totally transform the facility which is starting to look a little tired in places," said club president Mike Tanner.
"We have already started work on the new kitchen, demolishing the dividing wall and stripping out units. The new kitchen will be installed in mid-February.
"It will certainly give the whole club a real lift."
