Swindon Wildcats 1 Peterborough Phantoms 5
THE Swindon Wildcats, rocked by the departure in the week of one of their star players Henri Sandvik, were crushed 5-1 by the Peterborough Phantoms at the Swindon Link Arena on Saturday.
The Phantoms raced to a 4-0 lead in the first period thanks to goals from Edgers Bebris, Donastas Kumeliauskas, Milan Baranyk and Scott Robson.
After the opening onslaught there were Swindon steadied the ship and there were no further goals in the second period.
Young forward Toms Rutkins pulled a goal back for the Wildcats in the third period, but the visitors closed the game out with a fifth and final goal for Will Weldon.
