M4 Karting Cirencester League Div One
Oaksey 1 CHQ United 2
OAKSEY, despite missing key players, managed to hold league champions CHQ for half an hour.
A mixture of poor finishing, good defending and a bit of luck meant that the frustrated visitors went in at half-time only one goal up thanks to a 25-yard shot from Steve Reeves.
Oaksey upped their game in the second half and equalised on 62 minutes. Adam Lane’s clearance found Jake Pegler, for once in acres of space, and he carried the ball for 30 yards before rounding the keeper for an easy tap-in.
Both sides had opportunities to score the winner but CHQ took the three points as Sam Bird finished well from a corner 20 minutes from time.
