CHQ UNITED are through to the Gloucestershire FA Intermediate County Cup semi finals after beating Lydney Town A 5-2.

The match was switched to Hatherop Park after the Lydney pitch was deemed unfit and CHQ took advantage to move comfortably through despite going down a goal early on.

CHQ reached this stage last year so they will hope to go one better this time around.

In the only M4 Karting Cirencester & District League Division One game played due to the adverse weather conditions, Poulton put their recent two successive league defeats behind them and stayed in title contention with a 4-2 home win over Lechlade.

Luke Richards, Olly Taylor, John Dawson and Dean Woolgar put Poulton four up, but two late goals from Lechlade`s Ollie Waite deservedly made the scoreline a fairer reflection of the game.

In Division Two, Siddington Sports Veterans' title hopes suffered a blow when they lost at home to Ashton Keynes 3-4 in a feisty game. Free-scoring Ashton have been playing well of late so the result was not a surprise. Their goalscorers were Scott Smith (2), Richard Sutton and Alex King.

Down Ampney maintained their title bid with a comfortable 5-0 victory at Tetbury Town III, with Ed Evans and Carl Prosser both scoring twice, and Jamie Hall getting the other. Stratton United also had a good away victory at Oaksey Reserves, with Dan Timbrell (2), Ben Collett and Clive Brown scoring for the victors, and Tom Topping and Adam Wickson replying for Oaksey.

Lechlade Reserves are slowly moving up the table and they picked up their second win of the season after beating Sherston 3-2. CHQ United Reserves' home game against South Cerney was reversed, and the sides shared six goals in a 3-3 draw. Mark Loxton (2) and Nathan Littler were Cerney's scorers.
