GLOUCESTERSHIRE CCC have pulled off a major coup by being granted their first ever World Cup matches.

They will also host one-day internationals between England and some of the top sides in world cricket over the next three seasons.

Their full international programme from 2017-2019 is as follows:

2017: England v West Indies (ODI)

2018: England v India (ODI)

2019: England v Pakistan (ODI)

2019: ICC Cricket World Cup (four matches)

Will Brown, chief executive, said: “This is great news not only for everyone involved at the club, but also for the City of Bristol, Gloucestershire and the South West of England.

"We are absolutely delighted to be hosting such fantastic matches over the period 2017-2019 culminating in an England v Pakistan ODI and 4 Cricket World Cup matches in 2019.

"Five matches in one year will allow us to really bring the city to life and we look forward to celebrating with all the fantastic supporters that love coming to the Bristol County Ground.”
