SAFFI AIUTO and her pony Mr Magic, from Fairford, were runaway winners at this year's Rectory Farm Showjumping Series in Duntisbourne Abbots.
Saffi accumulated a cracking 268 points throughout the season (April-October) to finish clear of Lucy Boyle and Chase who amassed 126 points.
It was a much tighter affair in the horse section in which Tara Plaister (Allsorts) pipped Summer McKechnie (Crystal) by just four points.
At the championship show last month, Cindy Fruin, of the sponsors Discount Saddlery in North Cerney, presented the top three horses and ponies with prizes including rugs and sashes for the winners, as well as numnahs and head collars for the runners-up.
RESULTS
Ponies: 1, Saffi Aiuto (Mr Magic) 268pts; 2, Lucy Boyle (Chase) 126; 3, Sapphire Graham (Barney) 56.
Horses: 1, Tara Plaister (Allsorts) 80pts; 2, Summer McKechnie (Crystal) 76; 3, Andre Gardiner (Molly) 62.
The championship show proved a great success with Tara Plaister underlining her top spot in the rankings by winning the 95cm Open. Andre Gardiner and Molly finished runner-up in the 90cm Open, as well winning both the 80cm & 85cm Opens on his other horse, Pretty.
