Cirencester Town Dev 4

Letcombe 0

CIREN'S Development Squad has now hit its stride and recorded a 4-0 victory for the second week in a row.

Ciren were 1-0 up after just four minutes when Shane Bumphrey crossed for Jack Smith to blast home.

Letcombe began to get foothold in the game and Reece Cass had to make a save from a glancing header. This, however, was the last real threat Letcombe posed in the first half as Ciren began to dominate and in the 18th minute they doubled their lead when Danny Gudger crossed to Robbie James who flicked it on for Bumphrey to tap in.

Ciren’s next real chance fell to Kyle Pitts whose instinctive shot was blocked by the keeper.

The tireless running of Bumphrey got a further reward when he scored his second to make it 3-0 at half-time.

Soon after the start of the second half Jacob Davidge got on the end of a Smith cross to make it 4-0.

The game became disjointed, not helped by the referee proving rather whistle-happy.

There were a couple of efforts that deserved a better outcome, particularly one from Tom Luce in the 89th minute which brought the save of the match from the Letcombe keeper.

The young Ciren team continue to impress.
