Cirencester U13s 27
Stow-on-the-Wold U13s 7
CIRENCESTER U13s dominated Stow in their first 15-man game on a full-sized pitch.
Ciren started strongly varying the play between good powerful forward runs from Max Mosely and captain Elliot Thompson and some great back play and passing orchestrated by scrum half Luke Campbell and fly half Jack Hughes.
It was from a Jonny Mitchell break that fellow centre Callan Smithson sprinted 30 yards to score; Hughes converted for a 7-0 lead.
Ciren kept the pressure up and from a ruck in Stow's 22 Mosely powered 10 yards to score.
Stow responded with a fantastic run and converted score from their own try line.
Mosley then stole a Stow line-out in their 22 and powered over again.
Ciren's defence was superb and great tracking from Will Evans and Luke Dale-Henderson kept Stow out until half-time.
In the second half Thompson made one of many superb runs only to fumble the ball just short of the line. He continued to lead his team from the front and was well supported by Harrison Woodcock, Jake Milliner, Dylan Smith, Rhys Simmonds and Will Harris.
A superb solo run from Smithson and a burst through by Mitchell completed the 27-7 scoreline. MoM: Callan Smithson
