Quedgeley Wanderers Res 0

Didmarton AFC 7

A LEE KEVEREN hat-trick helped Didmarton to a resounding 7-0 victory at Quedgeley.

The visitors started brightly and found themselves creating several good opportunities inside the first 15 minutes.

Chances fell to Robin Smith, forward Adam Hughes and Tom Redpath from some slick Didmarton passing. However, it was Rich Harvey who opened the scoring with his second penalty of the season after Lee Keveren was brought down clumsily in the area.

Harvey calmly converted the spot kick to give Didmarton the advantage.

Smith then doubled the lead, coming in from the left wing to convert his second goal in as many games.

Didmarton went into half-time 3-0 up when Tom Sparks broke down a Quedgeley move and sent Keveren through for his first goal of the game.

Meanwhile, Didmarton’s backline snuffed out any opposing threats, limiting Quedgeley to half chances.

The second period delivered more goals with Keveren getting his second of the game, and that was followed by Redpath making it 4-0 following some great work down the right flank. Quedgeley had good spells of possession in the second half and were guilty of missing some good opportunities to pull a goal back. Keveren got his hat-trick after the hour mark, collecting the ball from deep and firing past the home keeper.

Didmarton’s foothold in the game allowed them to play freely and the seventh goal came late on when substitute Szymon Wasilewski gambled at the far post and poked the ball past the despairing keeper.
