THE Cirencester A Team secured promotion to Division One with a hard-fought home victory over Forest Hills.
This was a particularly good result given that Forest Hills had not previously lost a match all season.
The top three pairings really showed their class in keenly contested matches, winning the first three points which was enough to ensure that promotion.
The following three pairings were left to gain another half-point to secure the match win. When matches four and five were lost match six became vital and in it Mark Priest and Chris Nevin earned the winning half-point.
