Cirencester II 179-7

Newnham-on-Severn 93 all out

Batting first, the Town were given a rousing start by Andy Cooper who reached his half-century in the 13th over. He and Jimmy Woodcock shared a stand of 90 before both were caught, Cooper for 61 and Woodcock for 34.

Two more wickets fell cheaply, but a solid stand between Dominic Jeffcott (24) and Bram Coleman (35) kept the runs coming and when the 45 overs elapsed the Town had posted a challenging total of 179-7.

Coleman and Jake Holmes then took two wickets apiece as Newnham struggled to make headway in reply, Holmes being particularly miserly as his seven overs cost just nine runs.

Matt Dallow (38) and Thomas (24) briefly rallied the innings, but Tom Rutter took a wicket and two fine slip catches and Rob Watson weighed in with 3-13 in his seven overs, as Newnham folding to 93 all out in the 33rd over.
