THE M4 Karting Cirencester & District League kicks off this week having been bolstered by several new clubs.

Although Division One has lost Real Fairford and promoted Kingshill Sports (both disbanded), new teams Intel FC, Highworth Town Development, Malmesbury Victoria Res, Minchinhampton Youth FC and Stroud FC have added to the strength of division.

There will be 13 teams in Division One, the other teams being reigning champions CHQ Utd, Bibury Res, Poulton, South Cerney, Oaksey, The Beeches, Lechlade FC 87 and Siddington Sports.

CHQ will be seeking a hat-trick of titles but the new teams are certain to have a say in the destination of the trophy.

Division Two will consist of 14 teams, with Siddington Sports Veterans who finished runners-up last season, starting as title favourites.

Stratton Utd and Sherston, who were both relegated last season, and Blunsdon FC, Wroughton Res and Minchinhampton Youth Res are the new teams in Division Two.

The remaining teams are reserve sides from CHQ, Oaksey, Lechlade and South Cerney, along with Ashton Keynes, Minety, Tetbury Town III and Down Ampney.
