Men’s Monthly Medal

On Saturday, the Men’s Monthly Medal saw 71 members enjoy glorious weather and near-perfect golfing conditions.

Division One winner was Jerry Homan-Green with a great round of 76 (net 70). Jerry finished one shot clear of the chasing pack led by Gerry, Bruton, who edged out Simon May and Jordan Laycock on countback.

Division Two was won convincingly with a fantastic round of net 65 by Paul Daniel. In second place came Paul Thompson with net 71 and Robin Rose was one shot further back in third on countback.

Terry Johnson was the main man in Division Three with a gross 88 net 68 to beat a new member Gareth Noyes by one shot. Martin Dyer was again on the rostrum with a very good 92/70.

Gillman Salver

UNFORTUNATELY, Sunday saw the arrival of Big Bertha along with plenty of rain and wind. Despite the first few groups venturing out in the awful conditions, it was decided early on to close the course and postpone the competition until August 31 (tbc).
