SLAUGHTERS United Cricket Club will take on an England Legends side in aid of charity at their ground in Lower Slaughter, near Bourton-on-the-Water, on August 31.

Among the former internationals lining up for the PCA Masters team in the T20 match are Andy Caddick, Neil Fairbrother, Dean Headley, Darren Maddy, Anthony McGrath, Paul Nixon and Alex Tudor.

Fans can buy tickets for a five-course marquee lunch with the England players prior to the match which will include a Question & Answer session, auction, autograph signing and plenty of opportunities for photographs. Tickets are £60 per head and can be bought on 07824 492448.

And for those people who just want to see the players in action, they will take to the field against a Slaughters Utd side from 4pm.

Tickets are £10 in advance (from 07704 583521) and £15 on the gate. U16s go free with a paying adult.

Gates open at 11am and the day will be packed with a range of entertainment from midday, including a junior cricket match, BBQ, bar and Pimms tent along with an after-match party with live music.

Local businesses are asked to support this event by donating raffle prizes or lots for auction.
