HANNAH TAPLEY, from Lechlade, made her debut for England and helped them to victory in the SIAB Schools U17s Track and Field International held at Cardiff University on Saturday.

England came out comfortably on top of their rivals from Ireland, Wales and Scotland.

Ultra-consistent Hannah, 15, earned a silver medal when jumping 1.71m in the girls’ high jump but was again pipped by England team-mate Abby Ward (1.74m) who had also beaten her in the final of the England Schools Athletics Championships the previous weekend.
