MALMESBURY Youth Football Club's14th annual six-a-side competition was held last weekend, the profits from which are vital to the club's wellbeing.
With more than 160 teams taking part, the tournament got off to a somewhat dismal start as the Saturday morning U9 and U11 competitions had to be abandoned due to torrential rain and lightning.
The afternoon competitions were also at risk but the weather relented and glorious sunshine followed throughout the rest of Saturday and the following day.
FINALS RESULTS
U10: Stroud A 2, Stroud 0
U12: Stroud 0, Greenmeadow 0 (AET Stroud won 3-2 on penalties)
U13: FC Chippenham Youth 1, Ferndale Rodbourne 0

In addition, Sunday afternoon saw the U7s and U8s enjoying non-competitive football.
Thanks to Tony Parker and his large team of helpers for another successful tournament and, of course, the hardworking referees.
