The club's Lucy Mason and James Howse both won medals.

Lucy won silver for the Compound Cadet Women’s Team (along with Kirsten George and Rebecca Lennon), while James won silver for the Compound Cadet Men’s Team (with Samuel Jeram and James Passingham) as well as bronze for the Compound Cadet Mixed Team with partner Kirsten George.

Sara Symington, performance director of Archery GB, said: “We knew that we had selected a very talented team for this tournament and they have gone on to exceed our expectations.

“The team have learnt from and continued their recent success at the European Outdoor Youth Championships in Ljubljana, Slovenia, where they took home four medals.

British Junior Championships

WITH Tom Howse, James Howse and Lucy Mason away representing GB in Moscow and a number of senior members not available, Deer Park Archers sent a very inexperienced team to the British Junior Championships.

This was certainly not reflected in a great set of individual results, and topped with Gloucestershire winning the Mixed County Compound team title thanks to Connie Healey, Alfie Wilkes and Holly Clifford.

Alfie also repeated his indoor championship success by comfortably winning gold in the B3 Junior Gents Compound with a score of 1,280.

Nicole Deasy retained her B4 Barebow title with a score of 1,062 just two points ahead of fellow Deer Park Archer Rachael Lucas, who put in one of the performances of the day in her first big competition.

There were also silver medals for Chloe A’Bear, Mike Dalton and Hamish Ponton.

Phoebe Pine, a member of the paralympic junior development squad, picked up bronze medals on both days of competition.

GWAS Junior Regional Championships

DEER PARK ARCHERS emerged with 10 champions at the GWAS Junior Regional Championships – an event dominated by Gloucestershire archers.

Deer Park’s compound archers led Gloucestershire to the team title and there were regional titles for Fin Cummings, Holly Clifford, Connie Healey, Alfie Wilkes, Ellie Gore and Will Kurtz. Phoebe Pine took silver.

In the recurve category, there were titles for Charlotte Lunt, Tom Clifford and Anna Langdon, with Nicole Deasy winning in the Barebow category. Riley Spencer-Nice and Will Gore picked up silvers.
