REBECCA NEVIN, who teaches TaeKwonDo at Chipping Campden School and at Kitebrook House School in Moreton-in-Marsh, won the women's competition at the annual 'Chinatown Friendly' martial arts competition in London.

London Chinatown TaeKwonDo began martial arts classes in 2005 and now have offshoot clubs in the Cotswolds.

Rebecca's brother Will and sister Harriet, who train together with her under the LCTKD banner in Chipping Campden and Moreton-in-Marsh, both reached semi finals in their categories.

Maddy Whitby, from the Moreton-in-Marsh class, repeated her win of last year to take the junior title, this time beating class mate Myles Langley in the final.

Competition newcomer George Orr-Ewing, from Kitebrook House School, fought through a very tough competition to become joint U11s champion.

Moreton's Aled Davies reached the semi finals, along with Ashton-under-Hill's Anton McCormick and Anya Maria Piechowiak.

Senior Instructor Helen Hall, who teaches at Moreton and Kitebrook, said: "I'm really pleased to see my fellow Instructor Rebecca and assistant Instructor Maddy win two of the titles in such an important event, and to see so many of our students reaching semi finals and finals in Chinatown is something very special."
