CIRENCESTER runners put on another top class performance in last Monday's popular Frampton-on-Severn 10k race.

Frampton-on-Severn 10k

Twenty of the club's members lined up on a warm evening to chase points in the latest round of the our road race championship. Adrian Williams consolidated his championship lead by being first home and is now favourite to retain his title.

Adrian finished third in a time of 34.50 over the mainly flat Frampton course in what were

described as perfect running conditions. Next home, in 13th position was Wendy Nicholls who was first lady with a finishing time of 36.57 and led the Cirencester ladies to the team

prize.

Other ladies to be among the prize winners were Nicola Denning (third FV35), Fiona

Collings (first FV45), Liza Darroch (first FV65) and Ruth Fulford (third FV65).

Other notable performances came from Daniel Finchett, Jill Hadland, Paul Barron, and Chris Bevis who ran their fastest times this year for the 10km distance.

Swindon Park Run 5km

MARK SYSUM made it a weekend of racing by being the only Cirencester runner in Saturday's

Swindon 5km Park Run but he did the club proud by finishing third out of more than 300 runners in a time of 18.14.
