JONAS HOOG will not be returning to the Swindon Wildcats next season after the Swedish star failed to respond to the club's attempts to contact him during the summer.
Hoog has been a key player for the club in the last four seasons although some fans felt his form dipped in the latest 2013/2014 season.
The Wildcats have, however, brought in a new import, Tomasz Malasinski from Poland.
The forward comes into the Cats side having played his entire career in his native country, including representing Poland at U18, U20 and Senior World Cup levels.
Malasinski, 27, will come off the back of a positive season last year, having registered 42 points in 30 games for KTH Krynica and GKS Tychy respectively.
Wildcats coach Ryan Aldridge said: "Tomasz is a solid and strong all-round player who can score goals.
"He is signing after winning a gold medal at the World Championships this summer, having played in the same group as GB and scored four goals in five games.
"He plays hard at both ends of the rink and will be a huge addition to our club."
The signing of Malasinski means the Wildcats now have three of their four import positions filled.
On the departure of Hoog, Aldridge commented: "We would like to thank Jonas for all he has done for us in his time in Swindon.
"He has been outstanding for us and will be missed by all at the club. He has made lots of fans and friends here, but at this point in the summer with no contact, we have to move on."
