MALMESBURY Tennis Club is celebrating the opening of its two newly-resurfaced courts on Saturday, June 28 at 1pm.
The club has received a £15,000 funding boost from The Hills Group Limited. The money was made available through the Landfill Communities Fund which is administered for Hills by Community First, the rural community council for Wiltshire.
To celebrate the opening, which coincides with the middle Saturday of Wimbledon, the club is hosting a special tennis event.
In conjunction with the Lawn Tennis Association, the Malmesbury club will be hosting a Great British Tennis Weekend, and would like to invite all tennis enthusiasts to come and take part in some free tennis coaching between 1pm and 4pm.
Players can register for free coaching on the LTA website at www.lta.org.uk in order to guarantee a place at the event, or turn up at the club on the day.
There is no car parking at the club but plenty of spaces are available at the long stay car park in town.
