Westonbirt 10km, trails

More than 700 finished this popular race in the glorious surroundings of the Westonbirt Arboretum which is undergoing many exciting changes, resulting in an altered 10km course.

In addition to the 22 Ciren runners, there was an enormous supporting turn-out of members doing the marshalling, helping at the start and finish and generally ensuring that the event was a great success.

Bell's winning time was 33.14. Simon Campbell (36.00) finished third and 17-year-old Matt Crew (37.16) was sixth, giving the men the team prize.

Mark Sysum (38.10) came in 10th to pick up a second V40 place. Denholm Jewell (40.12), a club junior, finished strongly in 31st place.

Jill Hadland (46.10) in 123rd spot was first Ciren lady and Jo Roberts (52.39) was second in 283rd.

Humph’s Hilly Half, 13.1 miles, roads
